1st day of the 1st Unofficial Indian PR Survey

So wow! There were 16 respondents on the 1st day of the 1st Unofficial Indian Public Relations Survey. More than 10 respondents have PR experience of 5 years, and 2 have more than 15. From the latter category, I got to exchange short mails with someone who was kind enough to agree to share some of her knowledge on the Indian PR industry on the phone. Not bad for one day, not to mention how I had managed to delay working on a presentation for my client because I had to keep putting it off just to check the survey results every now and then :-)

To be a little hopeful, if we can go by this rate say 15 or so respondents a day, we will have 450 respondents by July 25, 2006. Not bad.

Some wrote critical reviews on some agencies. I was thinking whether I should publish a snippet of the survey results for one day, but then realised it wouldn’t be fair to everyone. Also, I was thinking what will happen when I have to publish all this. Am I actually going to say that so and so agency is the worst, because this many respondents of the survey say so. Man! I might get blacklisted for life. So ye all, need some of your generous suggestions here…

Thanks a ton to all those who participated and sent in their views. For those who havn’t, please spare two minutes if you come across this survey anywhere in Orkut, Yahoo Groups, Blogger, Technorati, or Google, (places from where 60% of the viewers of this blog come from, according to Google Analytics) or if you received an email from anyone about this.

Ciao for today…this is like a PR game. Let’s enjoy playing it. Keep on sending your worst cinicism, and best comments.
(I don’t feel like writing anything else today)

Congrats Hobbit! On the survey results, it’s lot like journalism..you either stand by the results or seek not to offend big agencies..

Unofficial Indian PR survey! Wow!! I just let go my feelings on many large PR establishments…who are truly not geared up to playing a ‘Lead Role’ in ‘Perception Management for Indian Corporates’…despite the Corporates having a firm growth plan.

hi sj, thanks. I could well understand. Sometimes all my clients would have events at the same time and sometimes, I would get bored doing nothing at office :-)

Now that you are back, looking forward to good discussion and inputs from you.
