Now a real PR awards in India
By Editor on Jun 13, 2006 in industry
I remember days back we were discussing about how nice it would be to have an awards in the India Public Relations industry. Seems like our wishes have been fulfilled. PReSense, the newsletter published by PrimePoint Foundation and Chennai PR Club, has reported in its June edition that the Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) would be instituting now a real PR awards in India.
The awards, according to PReSense, will be in 10 categories:
- Communicator of the year
- PR agency of the year
- Corporate citizen of the year
- Corporate leadership
- Social leadership
- Innovator of the year
- Excellency in news delivery
- Rural entrepreneur
- Communication school of the year
- NGO of the year
- Special award -Emerging young visionary (Age Under 18 only)
So then wow! It is a start and we need to gear up for the big night. We can apply till July 31, 2006 and get in touch with Mr. MB Jayaram or Ms. Gita Shankar.
So PRCI, hats off to you guys for starting something many have been waiting for! It’s a motivation. But I was just wondering how many under 18s we have in the PR industry
or I suppose it’s for young business folks outside the PR industry too.
