Genesis’ corporate induction week

Seems like Genesis is conducting its corporate induction programme this week and people from Burson Marsteller and its Mumbai office have flown down to its servicing office at Gurgaon. And so the new PR professionals at Genesis are getting a taste of Ashwani’s and Prema’s presentation skills. Sessions and workshops conducted so far ranged from business etiquette and media relations to upholding brand Genesis, of course among others.

Although many PR agencies in India have been conducting their own induction programmes, kudos to Genesis for planning such an elaborate and professional session. Even if the youngsters plan to be Genesis for only a short time, they now atleast have got a free lesson in corporate grooming that they can use in their career wherever they go. Wish I was lucky enough to take part in such an induction during my starting days in PR :-)

Hi anonymous, thanks for the input. I suppose Genesis’ media head has left for Vaishnavi recently (he joined Genesis from Perfect Relations just around one year back if I remember correctly) and agree that Genesis does tend to put more focus on client servicing and documentation than media relations, though not implying that the above two are related, and it’s my personal opinion.

People say Genesis is the sophisticated version of Perfect Relations – same long hours of work and people come back home by 11 pm, if they miss the 6.30 pm cab ride from Gurgaon. Sats and Sundays are mostly spent doing homeworks on the Genesis laptops. If you are a junior in Genesis and Perfect Relations, God have mercy on your soul. I’m not saying anything new here. Everybody know this, just that nobody wants to say it openly.

Hey, but it’s still a good brand and Ms. Sagar has really nurtured the agency from nothing to where it stands today. If we ask ourselves, which are the leading PR agencies in India, wouldn’t Genesis’ name come out?

Friends, I agree with u 2. but still Genesis is a brand in the Indian PR industry. When it comes to GPR media head leaving & joining VCC it is very normal in the industry people switch jobs nobody is married to one company better package better future is what everyone is luking for but tht does not put GPR in bad light.
