Clients’ Q3 results and the pressure on PR agencies

The Financial Express’ Eavesdropper column has funny takes on many things including PR. Here is the latest one from today’s, sort of PR agencies taking a sigh of relief when October comes calling, as they don’t have to push for the Q3 results of their clients to the media anymore. What I say is that I don’t feel much difference among any of the months at all. We have loads of things to push every month, pre-decided in our quarterly PR activity plans, not to mention the additions that will crop up in between.

Here is the story-
With the passage of October, several PR agencies in Delhi heaved a sigh of relief, at the conclusion of the period for announcing July-September operational results for their corporate clients. Many firms hire media consultants only to ensure a prominent display of their results and if that doesn’t come, the consultant’s media management skills are questioned. Which is why journos are inundated with requests to at least put out just a few lines.

I think the journalist who wrote this bit in FE must have witnessed sigh of relief from pushy pr agents.

You are right when you say that our lives are no different even in the month of December, when entire Delhi is in ‘chill’out mode - we are sweating in our pants for our clients!
