Indian film and coffee industries need PR

Two interesting news items talking about how the Indian film and coffee industries need public relations today:

First, producer of The Departed and this year’s Oscar winner for Best Picture, Graham King said….In order for India to win the Academy Award, it needs to take the following steps. India has a lack of public relations and needs to spend more money on promoting the beauty and the talent of the Indian cinema to a global audience. In order to educate the academy members about Indian cinema, it is going to take a serious amount of money. Furthermore, the financers who fund Bollywood movies, must spend double or triple the production costs they are currently spending just in marketing efforts and use it to promote the beauty of Indian cinema to a mainstream audience.

Second, Dr Nestor Osorio of International Coffee Organisation answered on being asked what India needs to do to further develop the domestic coffee market….It is a matter of finding their right ways to do the promotion of consumption. Education, public relations, dissemination of information to the potential coffee consumers are required.

Wonder if these will translate into anything for the Indian PR industry- PR for educating the target audience.

Image Mentors (IM) is a communication supermarket, offering all communication-related services under its umbrella. It is designed to provide one-stop solutions to all communication-related needs of modern day corporate entities, public sector undertakings, political parties and individuals. IM’s integrated communication approach helps in building and communicating clear and coherent identities. The integrated communication has become imperative due to media proliferation, stiff competition and quick changes in industrial and corporate scenes and globalization.

IM’s concept is a clear departure from the classical one that corporate entities and personalities are crafted only through advertising blitz. IM stresses upon sustained editorial concentration, which is rated as a fairly inexpensive route to address the target audience with higher level of credibility.

Conceived and run by a group of professional journalists, marketing experts and corporate communicators, strongly backed by a strong research team, IM has very subtly changed the perception of industries vis a vis image building and information updating. Benefited with IM’s wide range of services are: Country’s first mega port in joint sector, several state government corporations in Gujarat, UP, MP and a large number of private sector biggies.

We have conceived a niche PR proposal for your organization, which would go a long way in helping you in enhancing its image and keeping in touch with the development in media concerning the organization.
