Employee Exchange Programmes in the PR industry

Taking the OS PR talk, let’s say what if we exchange employees among Public Relations agencies, just like MBA institutions have student exchange programmes. This could be a good initiative of standardizing work standards across the industry, and one could learn a lot from another.

Again, the concern of confidential information leaking out to rival agencies? Ok we would not share employees on competitive accounts. For example, not Microsoft and Google, Airtel and Hutch, etc.

The PR professionals under such programmes can do two things at a quick thought. One- give a presentation to the new agency about his old agency; and secondly- share his learnings about the new agency when he is back at his old agency.

It would be good if they send someone from Perfect Relations to Genesis in Delhi. it would be quite a reunion of sorts with old employees.

Sounds like a great idea, could work out in an ideal world….but don’t see things happening in todays cut throat PR industry…as it is everyone is poaching from each other…I definitely do not see happening for the time being.
